2011 was a fantastic event, firstly let me start by thanking all you runners who took part in my third Shenstone Fun Run. The men’s event was won by Oliver Harredence with an incredible time of 36:28 and the women’s event won by Tracey Cox with a time of 45:43, with special recognition going to those groups who pulled together to raise awareness and much needed financial support for their own nominated charities and good causes.

Movecorp International put forward 30 runners and raised well over £1000.00 for “The Joseph Foote Trust”, The 1st Shenstone Scouts put forward 9 runners, led by Alex Harper, to raise funds and complete their Activity Badge, DHL Jaguar Cars provided 10 runners, with the Shenstone Pathfinders also preparing for the forthcoming season.

Running as a team has proved very successful for charities, so this year we have changed the registration form and added an extra place so you can add your team name, allowing entrants to run for their nominated charity or good cause of their choice.

Again special thanks must go to our sponsors, Burchell Edwards (Distance markers), Crimson (administration support), and Move Corp International (Medals).

This year we continued to support Acorns Children's Hospice, which cares for over 500 children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families across the West Midlands..
